For Read Across America 2026, the main theme from the National Education Association (NEA) is “Create & Celebrate a Nation of Diverse Readers,” emphasizing seeing oneself in books, while also promoting “Champion Kindness” as a monthly focus for March, coinciding with Read Across America Week (March 2-6, 2026). Stop by a UTSC library and choose a book to read! We have something for everyone!

Our JSE RoboCats and UCE Bearcat Bots are proudly representing our schools today at the robotics meet in Crown Point! 🤖🧡💚🤖

Our UCE Bearcat Bots Robotics teams are competing in the VEX Robotics competition at Col. Wheeler Middle School this morning. They have worked hard and have been practicing for this exciting event, using teamwork, problem solving, and perseverance. Go, Bearcats! #BearcatPride #BearcatBuilt

Our UCE Kindergarteners and UTMS 8th graders teamed up on a monster of a project! Kindergarteners created their own monsters, and the 8th graders brought them to life by creating and sewing stuffed replicas. The 8th graders then presented them to our Kindergarteners, read books, and drew together. It was an incredible collaborative project between our schools! Thank you to Mr. Dickey and Mrs. Ochall for planning this wonderful project! #BearcatConnect

🚀✨ Space Week is underway at our elementary schools! From art and math to SEL and reading, students are sparking curiosity and creativity through all things space. A main-stage highlight this week is the Digitarium, bringing the wonders of space to life in an immersive, out-of-this-world experience in Bearcat Nation!🌍🪐💫 Thank you Mrs.Asher and Mrs.Anderson for your leadership!

Our UCE Bearcats enjoyed the wonderful performance of "The Knight at Dawn," a culminating activity at the conclusion of our UTSC Elementary One School One Book event! It was a wonderful collaboration between our elementary and middle schools. #BearcatConnect #BearcatPride

Our annual One School, One Book elementary students have arrived at WHS and are thrilled to get a sneak-peek preview of the Bearcat Theatre Company’s performance of The Night at Dawn! The show will be performed this weekend—come out and support our students. It’s a fantastic performance you won’t want to miss! 🎭💚🧡
