Mrs. Betz's Pre-K students brought the story of Stone Soup to life! After reading the classic tale, students worked together to make their very own stone soup, practicing teamwork and learning through hands-on fun. It was a fun, delicious lesson that showed how wonderful things can happen when we work together! #BearcatConnect

Our UCE Music room has transformed into a keyboard lab! Students in all grades are decoding rhythms, finger numbers and pitches-even kindergarten! Music is unique in that it uses both sides of the brain to accomplish these skills. We are growing our brains in Music!

Ms. Melton's kindergartners review letter recognition and sounds while also practicing their fine motor skills. They use magnet boards and hole punches to practice. She also challenges Maxx to think of what letters spell out the sounds in "box". Our UCE 5th graders enjoyed a campfire after their day filled with a 7-mile hike where they learned about different species of plants and animals. Go, Bearcats!

Our 5th graders have made it safely to Camp Goodfellow and are getting settled in. They did a great job pitching in to empty our buses. Our Bearcats are looking forward to a great couple of days (with PERFECT weather!) filled with learning and adventures!
