For the second year in a row, Union Center Elementary has been named a Four Star School by the Indiana Department of Education. In order to be named a Four Star School, a school must meet the following criteria:

  • Recieve an 'A' on the state's A-F Accountability system
  • Test at least 95% of students on the state test for both English/Language Arts and Math
  • Have a combined state test pass percentage in the Top 25th Percentile for each grade level (3rd, 4th, and 5th)
  • Students pass both the English/Language Arts and Math must be in the Top 25th Percentile for each grade level (3rd, 4th, and 5th) in the state of Indiana.

Only 29 Lake and Porter County schools were named a Four Star School, and only 234 in the state of Indiana

We are so proud of the hard work and dedication our students, teachers, staff, and parents put in to achieve their best every...single...day
